This vintage road sign was found in storage at a downtown Mt. Sterling building. It was made to use on the highway entering the town to advertise the O'NEIL'S Quality Store. They sold hardware and pharmacy items so their logo was "everything from nails to pills". The distance would have been painted on the sign depending on where the sign was placed out on the highway. The condition is very good since it has never been used. It is metal with a wooden frame and would date back to the early 1900's.
