When looking through our web site, you will find many uses for antique wooden ladders. Since we are located in central Illinois, we are in the perfect area to find these rustic ladders. We have just found another great way to use them by making hanging wine racks to help organize your kitchen and dining areas.
Our craftsmen are now making wine racks with 2 rung ladders to hold 2 bottles and the 3 rung ladders to hold 4 bottles. They are bending the racks for the bottles and the stemware by hand then welding these parts together.
This ladder listing is for the 3 Rung Ceiling Mounted Wine Rack. We will be using 15" - 17" wide ladders so this one is 17" and 36" wide. We attach 2' of chain to each corner but if you need it longer just let us know. We charge $2 per foot for any extra that you need.
This style wine rack can hang over the island in your kitchen or in your bar area. Place it in a Dining Room above a Buffet as you see in our pictures. This rack needs to screw into your studs. The metal strapping will come unattached so you can screw it into our ladder at the same spacing as your studs. The chain is more adjustable and will be able to reach your studs. We are making these for 16" stud centers but if you know you have wider spacing just let us know and we will attach the chain accordingly.
We have pickers combing the countryside to find antique wooden ladders. Each ladder is slightly different and we offer them in an old surface with paint drippings for a more rustic look. If you prefer your ladder to have less paint drippings we will pick a ladder that has less. All our unpainted ladders have evidence of past projects by their owners. If you would like us to paint your rack we have great country colors. Look at the sample picture to help you decide which color will work for your needs.
We are also making these to hang from your wall for those that can not hang items from their ceiling. Check out our other listings.
